Sebastián Tortosa was born in Argentina and began playing piano at the age of three, at the little music school of his native village.Later he studied at the "Conservatorio Provincial de Cordoba" (Argentina) where he obtained his degree as Piano Teacher. Sebastián Tortosa studied with Edith Fischer in Barcelona, with Jorge Pepi at the "Conservatoire de la Chaux de Fonds" (Switzerland) and Homero Francesch at the "Zurich University of the Arts".Sebastián Tortosa has been the recipient of many prices in Argentina and Europe. Winning the "2nd international piano competition of Buenos Aires" , in the famous "Teatro Colón" led to his first tour in Europe. He has appeared throughout Europe, South and North America and the Middle East as a recitalist, orchestral soloist and chamber musician.Sebastián Tortosa is Correpétiteur and piano accompanist at the Zurich University of the arts.
Der Pianist und Organist Sebastian Tortosa hat Orgel bei Tobias Willi und Klavier bei Homero Francesch und Edith Fischer u.a. studiert.Nach Klavierstudien in seiner Heimat setzte er seine Ausbildung in Paris, Barcelona, Neuchâtel und Zürich fort. Als Pianist gewann er mehrere internationale Wettbewerbe und pflegt heute eine rege Konzerttätigkeit.Er ist Korrepetitor an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste und Organist bei der Reformierten Kirche und der Katholischen Kirche in Schwerzenbach.
